Due to social distancing, seniors in your community may be feeling isolated. Encourage your kids to do what they can to put a smile on someone’s face.


Due to business and school closures families around the world are struggling with access to food. Here are some ways you can help.

Animal Welfare

Every year, 6.5 million companion animals enter U.S. animal shelters. As shelters close due to COVID-19, many are looking for socially isolating families who can take on a foster pet. Contact your local animal rescue or shelter to learn more. If you are unable to foster or adopt, below are some ways that you can still help from your home.

Homelessness & Poverty

COVID-19 has many people unable to go to work and receive their normal pay. For those who are experiencing homelessness or poverty, they are the most vulnerable right now and need support. Here are some ways you and your family can help.

This is also a great time to involve your children in identifying gently used items for donation. Go through your belongings together including closets, old toys, books, jackets, etc. to determine what you can donate to local shelters.


From upcycling to cutting water waste, there are plenty of ways you can help the environment from your own home.


With distance learning, many children need additional support. Do your part for your siblings, cousins, neighbors. You can donate these items or keep them yourself for at home learning.

As a part of our BE FEARLESS BE KIND initiative, we partnered with the Greater Good Science Center at University of California, Berkeley to develop resources and practices for caring adults to raise a kinder generation.
